Except for DEX stuff, this is the ongoing Iris Manager thread we use... however, in an upcoming release I will start a new dedicated thread for it per your suggestion. It appears they are kicking Iris Manager development into high gear lately so it probably won't be too long.

MultiMan works perfectly on all of Rebug's CFWs. I don't know how you guys are having perfomance issues with it, the latest upgrades were there to improve that, it's faster than ever.

Glad to see an update from these guys. Been using Iris Manager for a while now. Not too shabby How's MultiMan different? Sorry for asking, I'm new to all of this

Been using Game Backup System to backup my games, proven to be quite a killer combination with Iris Manager

Iris Manager v1.49.1 PS3 Backup Game Manager Update is Released

Following up on the previous updates, today Spanish PlayStation 3 developer Estwald has updated the Iris Manager PS3 game backup manager to version 1.49.1 followed by 1.49.2 and v1.49.3 with the changes detailed below.

Download: http://mods.elotrolado.net/~hermes/ps3/irismanager-4-x-irismanager-4-x.rar / Iris Manager 1.49.1 PKG (Animated Icon) by faxtron / Portuguese (BR) Language.ini Translation by LoboGuara

To quote, roughly translated: Well, then here goes: I have included notes (many) so you have any idea what I've played and that: basically control power off by temperature (90 seconds above 79 degrees) and idle time (60 minutes without touching the pad and provided they are not doing file transfers that we can touch morality) is in routine pad.c reading pad

I think it basically means operation: for not being overloaded reading, I do that every 16 tics read the timer and temperature using syscall, do the necessary checks and if the old timer is not zero and go overtime, catapum Chimpun ( without a word))

I've grouped all that well is not lost [+ laughs]. And now the explanation for users:
    • Now to have an hour of downtime in Iris console off
    • As I said, in Iris temperature alarm: 90 seconds without the temperature drops below 80 ° C in either CPU or RSX and the console is turned off.
    • The addition of the callback Disc allows're not constantly checking whether there is a disc in and it allows the reader to rest.
    • Added support for redirection libfs.sprx: copy by ftp or via usb (usb :/ gets into iris) libfs_patched.sprx, which is generated by patch_libfs.bat (do not forget to put keys in the data folder!) And games like COD4: MW to operate from internal BD-Emu mount
    • In Tools (press START) the "Copy from / dev_usb / Iris to Iris folder" will make life easier to move things to the installation directory of Iris Manager. For example, if you put "covers" of Multiman within the USB folder, you copy your own content or libfs_parched.sprx we talked about. The option uses asynchronous copying to gain speed.

IMPORTANT: This new option may damage the Iris Manager installation if not used with head, for logical reasons.

NOTE: Obviously, there is no option to delete anything that is copied, except by FTP or pulling or uninstalling other programs (which will render the games settings, etc.) Enjoy it!

    v1.49.1 Changelog (translation by aldostools):
    • After one hour of inactivity in Iris the console is turned off
    • Temperature alarm in Iris: if temperature remains above 80 ° C for 90 seconds in either CPU or RSX, the console is turned off.
    • Added support for redirection of libfs.sprx: copy by ftp or via usb (to usb:/iris) the libfs_patched.sprx generated using patch_libfs.bat (don't forget to put the keys file in the data folder!) and games like COD4: MW will play from internal HDD with the BD-Emu mounted.
    • Added a callback for Disc check, that prevents constant polling if the disc is inserted or not, giving a rest to the BR drive reader.
    • In Tools (press START) the option "Copy from / dev_usb / Iris to Iris folder" will make life easier letting to move things to the installation directory of Iris Manager. For example, if you put "covers" of multiMAN or the libfs_parched.sprx we talked about within the USB folder, Iris will copy the content its folder. The option uses asynchronous copying to gain speed.

IMPORTANT: This new option may damage the Iris Manager installation if not used with head, for logical reasons.

    v1.49.2 Chagelog (translation by aldostools):
    • Fixed a bug mounting the BD-Emu when certain disk changes occur (for example, inserting certain PSX games, eject then put a BR disc).
    • Removed patched libfs load when BD-Emu is used from external disc (COD black screen 4: MW similar to that which occurred from internal)
    • Added warning messages in shutdown functions (in one case can be cancelled, in the other is non-cancelable for obvious reasons: if there is overheating, we must be forced to turn off the PS3)

    v1.49.3 Changelog (via elotrolado.net/hilo_3-55-4-30-iris-manager-v1-38_1842936_s340#p1731400119):
    • If you load a game for PS3 (not PSN, a disc game), some data are stored in a file (lastgame). Holding down L1 on startup, when Iris Manager is loading again, it will load automatically the last game, unless their presence is not detected or error.
    • If in the root directory of the game (where usually the PS3_DISC_SFB is found), you put a file name containing ps2disc.txt with the destination path (eg. /dev_usb000/dataps2 or /dev_hdd/GAME/dataps2), that folder is mounted as /dev_ps2disc.

This feature can be useful for games like Sing Star, that can read tracks from PS2 discs.

Iris Manager v1.50 PS3 Backup Game Manager Update is Released

Following up on his http://previous revisions, today Spanish PlayStation 3 developer Estwald has updated the Iris Manager PS3 game backup manager to version 1.50 followed by v1.50.1, v1.50.2, v1.50.5, v1.50.6, v1.51, v1.52, v1.52.1, and v1.53 with the changes detailed below.

    Download: http://mods.elotrolado.net/~hermes/ps3/irismanager-4-x-irismanager-4-x.rar / Iris Manager v1.50.0 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v1.50.1 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v1.50.2 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v1.50.2 with Animated Icon PKG by Faxtron / Iris Manager v1.50.5 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v1.50.6 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v1.50.6 DEX Fixed PKG by Rancid (o) / Iris Manager SELF Patcher Kit / English Language INI by LoboGuara / Iris Manager v1.51 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / http://mods.elotrolado.net/~hermes/ps3/irismanager-4-x.rar / Iris Manager v1.53 for v4.XX PS3 CFW (Mirror) / http://www.ps3ita.it/download/homebrew/Iris_Manager_1.53_added_cfw355dex_comp.pkg / http://www.ps3ita.it/download/homebrew/irismanager-4-x-irismanager-4-x.rar

To quote, roughly translated: Well, if you do not mind, I go up and this and that people will test: your upload yours and let me know when (that can be downloaded without using git!) And I add anything new at no cost to you (if you want to take an eye for entertainment, do it ).

I've gotten notes, anyway (I played the payloads also, by the way, to add code if LV2 patches fail because the instruction cache, as seems to be happening at 3.55 in the case of black screen)

    What's new:
    • Ability to run PSX ISO

    IMPORTANT extract psx iso.txt:

As added PSX isos for Iris Manager 1.50 +
    • Create a folder in root PSXGAMES or USB HDD
    • Put the PSX game folder inside. The folder name is used as the name of the game in Iris Manager.
    • The PSX games should be files. Bin or. Img (or. BIN,. IMG) contend sectors of 2352 bytes. You can get from 1-8 files "iso"
    • Iris Manager takes the isos in alphanumeric order. When you throw a game with multiple isos you can rotate the screen in order
      the last moment.
    • You can put a cover.jpg file (maximum size 1024 x 1024 pixels)
    • PSX config is saved in the game folder.

    Example of game structure:
    Code:
    / Dev_usb000
    / PSXGAMES
    / Metal Gear Solid
    |
    | --- Cover.jpg -> the cover
    |
    | --- MGS1.IMG -> disc 1
    |
    ---- MGS2.IMG -> disc 2
    |
    | - Psx_config.cfg -> psx config. saved from Iris Manager (Memory Card, Video Options ...)
    At stake:

Iris Manager mounts USB / BDVD and HDD0 in that order of preference to change the hard disk virtually. If a device can be mounted
It is used to simulate EJECT / PUT.

If a game has two or more discs when the game asks for a disk change, unplug and plug the USB device or disc ejects and hits CD / DVD / BR to change the "iso" (to be ax when your "ejecta" LED flashes green when you put a "new" medium green LED does not blink). The method is rotating so when using the latest iso it will change to the first iso)

NOTE: You can use a BR disc without problems PSX Emu patched. It is not necessary to eject the disc to play.

    Some feedback:
    • The configuration of each game is saved in your contacts, while the PSX game disc, is taken as reference for the games you have not saved the configuraracion there.
    • As I discuss the order they are taken multiple ISOS is alphanumeric (will 1.bin 2.bin Disc 1 and Disc 2 as)
    • When demos to run, if there are several, are presented with a screen that shows the order of the iso, but that makes pressing CIRCLE rotate upwards (so for example, if we are playing disc 2, you can select Start)
    • As I comment if you can mount a USB device is taken as "eject" first, otherwise a possible CD / DVD / BR that can be mounted and ultimately the HDD (so you can not eject). This makes it possible that if we have a game on the internal PSX with a pendrive connected and we disconnect and connect back to be changed from "ISO"
    • Changing ISO can only be done if the game is awaiting it and calling the appropriate function. This is because if "eject" (although no pendrive see activity in the eye) the green led flashes console. To get him back update the counter rotating.
    • Internally the emulator supports 8 virtual files are rotated. Iris Manager assigns all consecutively. If a game had 3 albums would be allocated as follows: 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2 by what we see in the following sequence instead of the three would go to 1.
    • Although you can change discs should not tinker needlessly with that: a game may hang, so Use it only when necessary
    • Note that the first version of the emulator: if a game does not work but you have the assurance that if it works from ps1_emu CDROM (not the net), you tell me if I can watch it.

Indeed, in PSX options, choosing emulator is unnecessary for ISOS: ya know that you need to run (another thing that is not )

    Regards

    • Added support for 4.21 DEX
    • Removed “PSX unsupported” message when a PSX “ISO” is launched (syscall 8 is required to make it work; LV1 patches are not needed)
    • New version of the PSX emulator V2 (ps1_emu_patched2.self, do not rename it)
    • Added support for .ISO and .MDF (alcohol) formats for PSX images.
    • Images in MODE1/2048, MODE2/2336 and MODE2/2448 (CD-XA) are also supported.
    • All the images of the same game must be in the same format.

    1.52 (241341):
    • Added check of free space on HDD, when copying games
    • If size of game is larger than free space on internal HDD + 1GB, the copy is aborted
    • If size of game is larger than free space on external USB + 1MB, the copy is aborted
    • BD-EMU does not mount the HDD by default (now there are 2 options: old behavior and the default)
    • Some parts of the code have been touched (if some hangs occurs on start up)
    • The patcher tools have been unified in the same rar file

    v1.52.1:
    • Restored the missing “mkdir” function that caused the error accessing language.ini

    v1.53 (via elotrolado.net/viewtopic.php?f=163&t=1842936&p=1731473402#p173147 3402):
    • Added 3.55 DEX support to Iris Manager (thanks to Rancid-0)
    • Added 3.55 DEX support to Homelaunc1 (Launch PSN/Homebrew from USB)

very very nice... really thinking about changing to irismanager.... i think deank could do this a long time ago in multiman... but hes with teamcobra... so he want to make money... NOW he have to do it...

mm is great... it can do alot of stuff... but i really only use it for ftp, filemanager and to create xmb mount pkgs via last game...
i think its no problem to find a alternative ftp and filemanager... there are homebrew stuff for this... so the only important reason for me to use mm is to create xmb mount pkgs via load last game pkg...

if iris manager would have a function like last game... i would change really quick!!!! because i like it simple! and most of futures in mm are useless for me!!

next big thing i hope will be psp backups via irismanager... i really like this dude!!

btw is load last game working with irismanager??? i didnt tested yet!?
