Installing kmeaw 3.55 PS3 CFW on 4.11 console

I have kmeaw's 3.55 on my usb, but I'm scared to install it on 4.11 console.

Will I be bricking my console?

Alright so, Is there any CFW that will successfully install on 4.11? That's all I need to know right now.

Or how can I downgrade to 3.55?

The only way to downgrade a 4.11 is to first figure out which ps3 you have, fat or slim, nand or nor chipset, then get a flasher e3 or progskeet and flash the chips. this is the only way to downgrade. any other way will not work or will brick your system.

i did get the progskeet flasher , and i have good soldering skills and i did half the way through successfully , but till now i havent found a descent tutorial with live links , most of the links are dead for some needed utilities

To get away the nasty no-check simply install in service mode the fw a second time. So the procedure would be:

1. Downgrade your console
2. Install CFW with no-check in Service Mode
3. Install OFW or CFW without no-check in Service Mode

and thats it.

Another shame that deank do not remove the fw check that cause this problem. I checked my whole NOR dump and haven't found something. So i guess that something in the syscon does not get reseted correctly.

this tutorial shows how to solder progskeet and get a good fw dump, i did this so far with no errors, but what i need to know is how to generate the downgraded fw file to flash back to the nor chip, most of the tutorials around have dead links for the needed files, can any one help please, i need to downgrade from ofw 3.70 to 3.55 official, the rest is easy.

Just use NOR Patcher v1.

1. Put your NOR Dump into the folder and start the app.
2. On the top click "Load Patch Files" and select the config.ini.
3. Click "Open NOR Dump File" and select your dump.
4. Hit "Patch NOR Dump File"
5. At least save the result by pressing "Save Patched NOR Dump File"

Keep in mind that the app will byte reverse the out put. So just unmark the "Byte Swap" option in WinSkeet or Byte Reverse the patched nor dump again if you want to use this option.
