It has finnaly happened. I was waiting for to play Graces for so long. Now I can at last play it, but with better grafx, more content and with my GF as well. So I owe that fellas a big 'Thank you'. Cheers.
first of all, thanks for main page & corrections, really good to see it at the morning just one thing, the first attachment link (the bms script) points to the post itself.
now to clear some things up:
kenshindono: you don't need to run chestfix or any programs seperately, it is automated in the bat files. every necessary file is included in the archive. i posted the eboot in oxinar's tread too, and i wrote Aug.15 for those who aren't following this thread.
arktos: i can read kana, and i only know a few kanjis. but translating and playing is a good way to learn them. since my native language isn't english i've grown up on foreign games so i'm good at figuring out meanings i'm also using the tales wiki and there's a guide on gamefaqs with a lot of text as source
i edit the eboot in hex, and the space is usually very limited. for example, "Defeated the enemy by chaining 4 or more artes! Gald+20%" has to be less than 16 letters, or "Maven of Lordliness" in 5 letters. i have to reword these to fit in, while still keeping the meaning.
the SysString files are in the roots/ussys folder, the listfiles are pointing to there, so no need to copy anything.
First mamu: Thanks for your answer I can now start the process without worrying. You are really the best, you've thought of everything.
Second Lando43: Indeed that's a great news that could allow us to complete a 100% Undubed & translated Tales of Graces F Jap. And for those who like US voices, they have their own solution.
But we still need to wait nothing is done so fast. I saw just one Eboot being done by Duplex for the moment and it's Max Payne.
Mamu My tales of graces came prefixed I believe so all I have is the jap 50% translated how to I push in the chest fix with little hassle? A hassle for me is downloading ToG English. I can't do that for a while so if you have any method please do explain.
Everything seems to work fine. I tested the game for 3 hours and didn't see anything not working fine. Really a great job you've done Mamu. Now I advised people to start the game from the start and just add a comment in there if they see anything unusual but it seems really ok.
