Catherine data between PS3 OFW and 3.55 Kmeaw

I have a PS3 with 3.55-Kemaw on it, and I am using the fix that lets the US game play with the JP eboot. A friend let me borrow his non-hacked PS3 with the latest OFW on it.

I have savedata on his PS3 (wanted to be able to read everything my first time), but want to use it on my PS3. When I try to load the game on my system it doesn't see the data. I am guessing it has something to do with the hacked version wanting to load a JP gamesave and not a US one. But does anyone know if there is a way to get the data to load?

And also, has there been any eboot patches that would make the US game work without using the JP version's? I am pretty sure the answer to both is no, but I figured it was worth asking.

Does the save data contain the same game ID as the game does?

No, I guess the part of the game that is from the JP version caused it to be different.
