Problem With Disk ID Inserter

Hi guys,
I have been using this program for a while now but, I have just come about a problem with it.

When I try to launch the program, I get this message.

System error &H8007007E(-2147024770)

Anybody have any clue as to what this is?

I have tried re-installing, I have downloaded it again all to no avail!

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

It sounds like a "DLL incompatible" issue... perhaps try re-downloading/installing the VB6 DLLs (Google for them) as the one which comes in the package may be conflicting with an older version installed on the PC. Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice but, I have tried it and I still have the same problem.

So any more suggestions would be great.

Did u really format ur hdd???

Do u have service pack 2 for xp and the newest patches on ur pc?

Try this one:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

It's the newest VB6 runtime. It seems like an OCX problem and this should be solved by that...

If above link is dead search for vbrun60sp6.exe on download.microsoft.com

Select it and set the needed options to run it on XP compatible mode. I've not tried it out, but it might work.
