Donations for Machine ID Change coder for Slim PS2!

Now i am willing to offer someone $100 if they willing to work on Machine ID change for the slim ps2 system. I think alot people now have the slim ps2.. and if anyone willing to donate money.. we might be able to get someone to code this thing.. Even $1 from each person will become a huge amount.. and i am sure someone from this site can do it because they done it with the old ps2.. i am hoping we can get enough money to have someone code this thing.. so please help everyone.. like i said couple dollars here there will become a huge amout and it will benifit all of us.. and i am willing to pay $100 for it

Thanks

Well, if you get at least another $300 worth of donations from this thread then perhaps we may have a chance of getting it updated for $400. It's not that we need someone to update it for the Slimline PSTwo, it's basically that the folks who can update it are into other stuff now (X-Box 360, PSP, etc) so they would only spend the TIME updating it if we (PS3News) could make a substancial donation to make it worth their while.

Chances are, you won't find many willing to donate though- even for the original Machine ID Changer it was difficult to raise donations unfortunately. That is just the nature of the 'scene' wanting everything for free HAHA :tongue2

I don't have a slimline, but if more people join in I'll put $20 towards it.

Way to be a Team Playa Xak!

I spoke with them briefly on this tonight, and they said the following:
Quote:
we are under the impression that the nvm section in later models is not changeable as the nvm is included in one of the multi chips. the issue is writing to nvm, new versions dont allow it to be written in the way that the original ma id changer worked.
So basically it appears the NVM storage in v12+ differs... meaning for now this thread is going to be closed unfortunately.
