Wondering how to boot PS1 backups on a PStwo

Okay, right now I have a PStwo along with SwapMagic 3.3 CD and DVD.

I know SwapMagic 3.3 doesn't boot PS1 backups, but is there something I can burn to enable me to play PS1 backups on my PStwo?

Just for fun, I tried burning the Cogswap Loader, putting in an original PS1 CD game, then swapping it out for my backup, but that didn't work..

So, is there any image or anything I can download which would enable me to do this? Thanks!

Wow, I did a search on another forum and just found a really ghetto way of booting your PS1 backups...

I got my Star Ocean 2 backup to work by doing this:

- Booted PStwo with the fliptop open/ejected.
- Went to the browser.
- Put in my original Xenogears PS1 game.
- Closed PStwo fliptop normally, but left my stealth fliptop thingy open.
- PStwo detects PS1 game on the browser list, but disc is spinning slowly.
- Took the Xenogears disc out as it was spinning slowly, and put in the Star Ocean 2 backup.
- Closed fliptop completely, stealth and all.
- Selected the PS1 game icon on the browser.

Game boots up perfectly. /gg

It only boots PS2 CD games, not PS1.

yeah but that ill slowly damage your pstwo if you kept stoping the disk like that the gameshark will stop the disk completly to allow you to swap the disk

Yeah, I guess I need to find the ISO of Playstation 2 Gameshark version 2, 'cuz it's pretty hard to find it buyable.

Or find a PS2 ISO to burn that will let me boot PS1 backups..

Try finding a Gameshark Lite. I used to use that before I modded my PS2 to boot PS1 backups. It was cheap, and it stops spining.

Is it possible to put Gameshark or Breaker Pro on a memory card and boot a ps1 game using memory card exploit?

I agree, I just bought Breaker Pro to boot my PS1 backups and it works everytime. I have a V9 w/fliptop.
