Run Action Replay Max with HD Advance

Is there any possibilty to run Action Replay Max with HD-booted Games?
For example a modded Version of AR Max, that boots cheatet games from HD...

just insert the hda disk wen it says to insert a game heh

if u do'nt have a soldered mod go try to load it wit a cdloader? i'll test tm cause i installed GOW on my hdd ^_^ :grin:

I think it works if you use a disc to load hdadvance, but not if you use the mc exploit. I use the mc exploit and I haven't been able to get any cheat devices to work with it. I've heard of people using them with the cd version of hda, but I'm not sure which ones (codebreaker, ar max, etc) exactly work.

Well, I've got a DMS3 Plus modded V5 PS2 and I load AR Max from a CD and HDAdvance from an ELF-File on the HDD!

So the order would be:
1.) Load AR Max
2.) Configure/Activate cheats
3.) Change AR Max CD with the HDAdvance CD/DVD
4.) Load game with HDAdvance
5.) Have fun with the cheats :stickpoke

We had a big thread on this before, and I dont remember anyone getting AR to work with HD games. But I do believe Gameshark did work, but I'm not sure.

ya i got the disk ver (pro evo ed. something like that)

and all the games will just hang on a black screen heh.. weird..

i guess we hafta boot the cheat device off the hdd or it'll try to read it from the dvd drive mak'n it unable to load?

hmm i tihnk i read somewhere that u hafta make a multigame disk (like with cdloader) then add the game into it, so wen u boot up the game it'll boot to the cheat'n device, then wen u hit load game it'll load directly off the hdd and witout eva read'n off the dvd drive?

i know codebreaker works, i think 7 does, but i use 9 and i know it does, i use swap magic cd to load hda

load codebreaker9
activate cheats
start game/insert smcd
swap in hda disc
pick game and play

so far out of 5 or so games only one didn't work, and what happened was hda wouldn't load up right, possibly from a certain code.

:grin: here's how i got it to work. ohh and i have codebreaker 8.1 with the updated mc exploit. I haven't tried other cheat device yet. i have GS ver3, I'll try it once i get some code for RE:4

1. Load CB
2.Turn auto eject ON
3.Select Cheats
4.Go to Start game. Now when the tray ejects insert a ps2 dvd! Important.
5.As Soon As The Screen Turns Black Press Eject. You'll be in the browser in a few sec, when you are...
6.Insert your Trigger Disc.
7.Load your exploit as you normally would.

Not sure if all games work this way. it worked for the pal RE:4
