I have put the HDA disc image (
Ratchet & Clank 3 version, newest) into a MC Exploit which can be either put onto cd or dvd. I have included a titleman.exe so that you can create and add your slus, scus of your psx game to use as a trigger disc.
The WinRAR file contains all the files needed, and all you will have to do is create your
TITLE.DB file and put it in with the rest of the files as each person may have differant psx games and pick the one you don`t use anymore (But some odd games will not work as a trigger disc). Make a new folder and name it what you like and put the files from the WinRAR file into this folder.
To use the titleman.exe copy and paste it to the default folder when you open up a command prompt. In winxp just click on
start>run and type
cmd and a dos window will open and you will see that the default location that it will show is.You can either minimize the dos window or close it and re-open it later again
Example:
Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>
|
This is what you will see but your folder name will be differant, this is the location were you want to copy and paste the
TITLEMAN.EXE from the files that came in the winrar file as it is the easiest to do from this location. Once you have put the
TITLEMAN.EXE in the right location. Re-open the dos window or maximize the dos window from minimize in your task bar..Now type
titleman.exe -c to create the
TITLE.DB file after C:\Documents and Settings\name> that you see above and it should look like this
C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>titleman.exe -c and then press
enter and it should look like this which this creates the
TITLE.DB file.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>titleman.exe -c
titleman TITLE.DB manager - version 0.1
Adding '???' to TITLE.DB... done.
Add: Skipping past '???'.
Adding 'PSX.EXE' to TITLE.DB... done.
C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>
|
Then type
titleman.exe SLUS_XXX.XX -a which will add your
slus_xxx.xx of your game and
"xxx.xx" being your game slus, scus no. which can be found in the
system cnf. file also know as
speed dial file and use notepad to open up this file and on the first line you will see your SLUS, SCUS no. it should be something like this
SLUS_123.45 as an example but you do not need the
;1 at the end of that no. and it should look like this.
Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>titleman.exe -c
titleman TITLE.DB manager - version 0.1
Adding '???' to TITLE.DB... done.
Add: Skipping past '???'.
Adding 'PSX.EXE' to TITLE.DB... done.
C:\Documents and Settings\folder name>titleman.exe SLUS_XXX.XX -a
|
Make sure you type the SLUS no. exactly as it is shown in the
system cnf. file leaving out the
;1 at the end of that no. Once you have typed the slus, scus no as shown above then press enter and it should look like this.

That`s it your done making your
TITLE.DB file which will show up right beside were your
TITLEMAN.EXE file is, then just exit the dos window by typing
exit and pressing the enter key or just use the
x at the top right of the window, then just copy and paste the
TITLE.DB file into the files that you have in that new folder you made earlier but don`t put it inside the folder named
files,just put it were your
system cnf. file/speed dial file sits. Now you are ready for burning to a disc.
NOTE: burn the files and folder inside the new folder you made only as it will not work if you burn the folder you made with the files inside it as the files have to be shown so that the ps2 can read them.Like the files you see when you burn a original game to a disc.
You can leave the
TITLEMAN.EXE in with your files in that folder or you can take it out as it will not affect the burning of the disc and installing of the mc exploit.
Then just follow this
How To Put A PS2 CD To DVD With Nero from
Site Utilities in
PS3News.COM Tutorials.
When making a cd or dvd you can use the new compilation in nero and you can use either for cd`s
CD-ROM (UDF/ISO) in cd mode or
DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) in dvd mode but make sure under the iso tab that your data mode is set to
MODE2/XA for cd`s instead of
MODE 1 which is used when burning a dvd, all the rest of the settings are the same between both cd and dvd except this data mode setting, the rest set as according to the tutorial. After burning is done load swapmagic disc and wait for it to load to the menu screen, then swap in your MC Exploit disc and press x and it should install the mc exploit automatically, since the HDA disc image was bigger than the original MC Exploit image it will take longer to install and it will take up 3,015kbs on your memory card.
And thanks to
Rook...

for the help on a crash course in how to use the Titleman.exe file.
I have included a sample
TITLE.DB file which uses hot shots golf 1 or 2 as the trigger disc, you should see a white flash on the screen when loading it with the trigger disc and due to the bigger size of this MC exploit after the white flash it will take at least 15 sec. or more to load and there will be a black screen at the time it is loading so please be patient when it is loading, this Hda MC exploit has been tested and it works great.Enjoy!
