nope its been said DOC has some kind of hardrive check at the logo screen thus it freezes.

The US version of this game works on the HDA patched for GTA:LCS on my NTSC V7 PS2. No modes needed. Enjoy

@Porkape : how did you make it boot from hdd? cause i tried using the latest hda (the one with gta:lcs patch) but no success. does the MDMA/UDMA-mode affect the loading of the game from hdd :?? and if possible, can some1 explain those modes, I never bother those before cause most of my games loaded from hdd works.

I just let the HDA boot without pressing any buttons and the game works fine. Try the HDA right before GTA:LCS compatibility, although I'm pretty sure I use the newest one. GL

No freezing yet, although I am not as far as you. I will let you know if it occurs.

I got it working on me now.

For some particular reason, the hd advance won't install the original disc of DoC:FF7. What I did is dump the disc. But still transfering the dumped image directly from pc to ps2 doesn't work either. Then I cloned the disc and used a back up copy. Then boot up hd advance, insert the back up disc and installed. Now it works ok. So far no freezing yet on my side.
