Xenosaga EP1 DVD rip

I am pretty much new to ripping and burning a PS2 dvd. Basically i recently bought Xenosaga Episode 1 to play on my PAL PS2 with Swap Magic 3.6. It was only afterward did i realise that the game was a DVD9. I have looked around and found that some games can be split in two or three discs. If someone could either give me a step by step guide or direct me where I can find detail info how to rip and burn a dvd9 to a DVD5 for xenosaga. I would very very greatful.

ok can someone plz help. after many, many rebuilds and many , many wasted dvd-rs i have the game booting with one small problem. the sound is very shoppy during cut scenes, does anyone have any suggestions. would different media help, different burning program. i burned this one at 2x with Nero

Hi there I was wondering if anyone can suggest a guide or knows where I find instructions on how to rebuild xenosaga 1 too 2 or 3 CDs for swap magic? (its an imported ntsc)

Hi to all.

I am trying to unpack Xenosaga episode 1 using the extractor I found on the site. I have the unpacker and the entire isobusted game contents in a folder on my "c" drive and have no troubles navigating to the folder with dos. I am using the command line as it appears in the nfo and it reads:

"unpacker.exe filename"

I type in "unpacker.exe XENOSAGA.00" and get an error stating "could not open XENOSAGA.0A. I'm not sure why the error comes back with an "A" in place of the 2nd digit.

I have tried various combinations in an effort to get these things open, without success. Any one help?

I'm new to downsizing DVD-DL games and got a question concering step 2 you mentioned. I won't request "Sonix editor", but as I can't find it (on this site are various Sonix applications, but it's a mystery as to which one you refer to and on Google I get various audio editors). But could I just use isobuster as replacement?

Download This tutorial pack as it contains Apache 3 (preview version) which the most current version of my "editor" :smilew

Errr, sorry to reply here so soon again (can't seem to edit my previous post and can't seem to PM Sonix?) but I'm experiencing a problem using Apache 3.

When I startup the app I get an update message (as stated in the help file "Apache3 can automatically check for any updates when you first launch the tool (if you are connected to the Internet)...") which I accept. It shows a flashing cmd prompt and closes down. Now loader.exe is created. When I attempt to start Apache3.exe, it does nothing. When I start loader.exe it deletes Apache3.exe and does nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

click on the x in the top corner when you get the update notice - that will close the update messagebox and lauch the tool - from there you can switch off 'check for updates' in the options to stop this problem occuring.
