rebuilding help

hi y'all...1st of all greets 4 every1...now da point!
why when i try rebuilding wit all dis dvd decrypter,isobuster and cdvdgen stuff (mercs and shadow of rome)never shown at the end file star.001???no matter wut i do its always make star.000,star.002,star.003 and star.004 and star rar file,its almost 1gb large.i mean dis star rar 1gb.wit mercs and shadow of rome,not star.001 only star rar and other star.###.i hope i wus unda?maybe i must reinstall windows or sumtin???i get jelous when other writing about succesful rebuild and burnand 2nd q,how and when i must paste a patch 4 shadow of rome?thx in advance.

um... is ur hdd type ntfs?? make shure it's not FAT because FAT can only handle 4gb while ntfs can handle ... unlimiteD?

yea,its ntfs...i reinstall and formated hdd.ill go try now!

There's no reason why Sony CD/DVD-ROM Generator would skip the .001 file when it exports the image. There's also no reason that it would generate a RAR file. I have a feeling that your file associations in Windows are messed up and showing .001 files as RAR files. Either fix your Windows explorer so it "displays file extensions for known file types", or go into a DOS prompt and run DIR to look at the files there. I'm sure you will find that the 1 GB "RAR" file is actually the 1 GB .001 file.

Um… okay. You will apply the Shadow Of Rome USA (CDZ) SMFIX to the .iso file you created for Shadow of Rome. To apply the patch, open PPF-O-Matic 3.0, select your Shadow of Rome .iso file in the ISO File field, then select the DRK-SRU.PPF file in the Patch field. Click apply, then record the patched .iso file to disc.

What the point of CD/ DVD Gen to create the .001, ext files when you can just export an iml with cd/dvd gen and make an iso with dvd iml 2 iso or apaches 2.00

The problem is not with Swap Magic 2.0, as the patch was built for Swap Magic 2.0. I use Swap Magic 2.0 to boot a patched Shadow of Rome on a v10 myself, and it works fine. Maybe something is messed up with your burning process or your media.

True, however people who are still running on the FAT32 file system will find that they can rename the .000, .001, .002, etc. files to .i01, .i02, .i03, etc. and burn them directly with DVD Decrypter. This ability opens up the patching possibilities to the poor folks stuck with FAT32 from Windows 95/98/Me.
