Well, I finally made a usable backup up. But its strange. It boots up just fine on swap magic 3.6. Loads up, gets to the Koei screen, then...*ching* Black Screen of Death (aka freezes). So, I'm guessing its either a video problem or a media problem (blasted Fujifilm). Of course, back in the tutorial I used stream "custom" for the PSS Downsampling Tool. Instead of Alt-1 for the reason being I dislike the English language version of the game.
Meh...its going to take some tweaking. But if I go through a few more coaster with no results, I'll have to seek out an import/backup version of the game. But I'd say I'm not doing too bad for my first backup of a PS2 game.
Edit: Ah, I see what I did. Anyways, the black screen of death was a mistake on my part. I set "Primary" on my Downsampling Stream causing it to, of course, lock up on me. So I redid the downsampling and used Alt-1. Booted it, and, walah, it works just fine. I see that Alt-1 only works with the English portion of the game. So no manually changing it to Japanese. But I'll play around with it some more. Maybe Alt-2 is the Japanese version I'm looking for. Nothing like having 2 backups of the same game.
