ICO Full CD NTSC to DVD - PS3 NEWS

Hello,

after playing Shadows of the Colussus, I had to get the prequel: ICO. Now it is a CD image of the game, about 530 MB. My PS2 doesn't like CD-Rs that much, so I have to put the game on a DVD-/+R. I have all the necessary tools like DVD Scanlite from Sonix... Now it's clear that I have to add a few Dummy files, but I'm not sure in what order. Looking at the LBA numbers, the creators of the game have put the biggest file (~ 514 MB) at the beginning (it is in the folder).

The Dummy file is at the end. Where would you recommend me to put the extra Dummy files (CD/DVDGen) for faster reading? Do you think that 2 GB should be enough ?

i would just keep one dummy at the end and only use a dummy of around 900mb in size it should be enough that would make your dvd size like 1.4g in size.

Can you explain, why you wouldn't put the dummy file at the first position (CD/DVDGen) ?

it is best to put the dummy in the same order as your filelist shows from isobuster.Game could have fat (file allocation table) in it which would cause you a problem if the dummy was moved somewhere else in front of other files.

any one know a good software to make dummy files? also where would you put the dummy file, at the end off the image or at the beging of the image?

You get a program called "dummy file" maker just do a Google search for it and you put the dummy file in the area were you see your SLUS, SCUS, SLES file depending on what region the game is from, as this is were i put them in as it really won`t effect things as it is just a file to make a image or game look bigger. Just to verify ICO working on dvd. used console media patcher version 1.1 by Sonix to patch IOPRP224.IMG and SCUS_971.13 files and dummyfile.exe to create a 900 mb file called dummy then rebuilt using CD_DVD-ROM Generator.

why did you feel the need to add any dummy files? was it not working without?
