Best way to Backup Shadow of Rome? - PS3 NEWS

I was having issues backing up shadow of rome, so far have been unsuccessful with rebuilding it. I have a modchip, but not sure which because I bought the console second hand, but it does play recent backups of my Devil may cry 3. Is the patching of Shadow of Rome a more reliable way or is rebuilding it better? I am tired of these coasters. Thanks for any insight.

Create a iso image using avalible progams on the net. Patch the iso image with a ppf patcher using a ppf file for the game you own. Burn the iso. Simple this is all i can say with out refering any progams good luck mines works.

How do you patch it with the ppf file. I have a ppf file patch for Shadow but I don't know how to get it started. T Y I A.

Use PPF-O-Matic 3.0. Select your .ppf patch file. Select your .iso game image file. Click Apply.

Thanks I just did it and hopefully it burns OK. I found this out in the Ripping for Dummies tutorial.

Im new to this how do I get the PPF file for any certain game such as shadow of Rome and what exactly does a PPF file do???

i used Use PPF-O-Matic 3.0. and selected the .ppf patch file then located my iso file of shadow of rome that i burned with dvddecrypter. the game loade fine from my swap disk 3.0,thanks for the info on this site,lol....another game for my ps2 library (45 games so far and counting in the last two months. ahhh... the joys of having a game pass at blkbuster.

I did everything you said before, i copied the original game on the hard disc as an iso image file using dvd-decrypter, i used ppf-o-matic and applied the ppf patch and burned the image with dvd-decrypter. After that i used swapmagic 2 in order to load the game, but the color of the screen went red and the game could not load. I please need your help.
