Does TOXiC Dual-Layer Image Patcher work with swap magic discs?

They are not D/L discs, so unless you possibly TOC-refreshed with an original PS2 DVD9 disc I doubt it will work (without hanging somewhere), and even then I am not sure... but I say let the testing begin!

God of War (DVD9) works on my PS2 V8 using a fix from swapmagixfix.com but it didn't work on my friend's PS2 V4, so I hope this patch will make it work. My other option is to rip it to a DVD5.

Surely the God of War is a DVD5 when using Swap Magic and not DVD9? As far as I am aware it was the layer 1 checks in GT4 that meant that it had to be on duel layer media - even then the OPT vs PTP problem meant it wouldn't work - until Toolboy and Toxic came up with fixes.

Of course I could be completly wrong!

I made a 1:1 copy of God of War on a DVD+R DL and manage to boot it on a PS2 V8 but unsuccessful on a PS2 V4.

DVD+R worked in my v1 and v4? I think I'm on my 4th PS2 or something... LOL!

Burnt my first working Dual-Layer 1:1 backup tonight with the patch. Worked 100% with my v7 modded w/ Messiah 2! WOOHOO!!!!!!

Just wondering why would a TOC swap not work, GT4 is 5.27gb so cant i use a game with a higher TOC like xenosaga after applying the Toxic patch or would that just not work due to Swap Magic and DL dvd's

It may... we just need confirmation that it does/doesn't from Swap Magic users basically. I plan to order some DVDR D/L blanks early next week, so hopefully by later next week I will have some here to experiment with too.

Cool, Am also going to get myself some Dl dvd's and give it a blast and hopfuly it will work
