Question About Swap Magic DVD - PS3 NEWS

hi, i've been wondering if the swap magic dvd is 4.35, and i run my xenosaga 2 which is 4.37 will this affect the game at all?because while im playing xenosaga 2 the music just fades away after a battle and then it comes back again(sound effects are ok tho).so im just wondering if this has to do with the size of the game,and if so, any advice? :stickpoke

Music fading wouldn't be a side-effect of a TOC being too small... the game would just hang at a specific part. I imagine that is how the game IS supposed to be, but you can always check with the original disc to be sure.

Some games can, however, I can't verify Xeno 2 myself. The reason is, if none of the critical ELFs, files, or checks are beyond the TOC limitation then in most cases you can finish the game problem/error free. This doesn't apply to all unfortunately, so many will hang... especially if it's one of the primary ELFs located there and it gets called from the CNF directly (or shortly into the game).

Xeno2 plays fine with the swap magic 3.3.No problems at all.

swap magic cd version? aren't you suppose to use swap magic dvd with dvd loader? what exactly do u do to run your xenosaga 2 and what version ps2 do u have? did you rebuild urs?

Swap magic version 3.3 with straight swap on newer pstwo,no loader needed,backed up from original discs.

With d/l versions you never know how much errors the iso file has due to poor ripping causing these problems.
