I think I've figured out a way to get dvdloaderv7all to work on a PStwo that has both switches glued/taped down. (If this has already been posted then I apologize and please delete this thread)
To the best of my knowledge dvdloader does not work on PStwo's with both switches glued down because the disc won't stop spinning when it's time to hit triangle and insert the Swap Magic DVD. So yesterday, after getting my butt handed to me in Soul Calibur 2, I tried to find a way to get dvdloader to work so I could play (and get better) in SC 2 and exact revenge on my friend. I got it to work and here's how:
Insert Swap Magic DVD 2.0, then swap it for dvdloaderv7all at the "Insert Disc" screen. After that wait for dvdloader to load and then hit triangle which will make dvdloader read the dvdloader disc. It'll say "Invalid Disc" at the bottom of the screen but it's supposed to. Wait a few seconds for the disc to stop spinning then swap dvdloader with your Swap Magic DVD and press triangle. Wait while the PStwo reads the disc. Press X when it says "PS2 DVD" at the bottom of the screen. The "EA screen" will come up and the disc will stop by itself. Swap the SM 2.0 disc with Soul Calibur (or any game of your choosing), hit X and enjoy!
I don't know if this will work with any other version of dvdloader or Swap Magic. I can't even guarantee that it'll work on another PStwo, but I'm confident that it will. I'd like for anyone else who is having dvdloader troubles to try this method and report their results in this topic if possible.
