Lost SM CD, need to boot AR EVO with SM DVD - PS3 NEWS

I recently lost my sm 2.0 cd and need to boot my ar evo backup, i tried downloading dvdloader 7 beta52 and booting it with my sm dvd disc, but it will not load cd's i take it. Is there any other way around this besides dropping another $20 on sm discs.

you are in luck...when i had swap magic...i used to never use the CD...instead you can do the following...bootup ur SM DVD...then ur DVDloader....then press eject and pop in an original PSX game...let it verify and ull see PS1 on the bottom...now using ur flip top or slidecard. pop in ur PS2 CD backup and press X...this should work fine

thanks, im trying that now as we speak, hopefully the toc on the madden 99' (the only ps1 game i still have) is higher than the ar max.

didnt work, gues si need a ps2 cd, luckily my friend has some shitty ass ps2 games on cd. trying that...

still didnt work, tried using ncaa football 2002 ps2 cd with a toc of 586 mb..... is there certain setting i need to set the options to like a certain load method (custom, sony, default..)???

I use a memory card exploit that has cogswap on it. I just use a PS1 disc to trigger the exploit and use the TOC method to boot either a cd based game or a dvd based game. You must have an original retail version of a cd based game however to boot cd based PS2 games. Same with DVD based PS2 games. A quick google search will give you an exploit to use. It's about 1.5 megs on your memory card.

You can also just stick Action Replay MAX EVO Edition onto a DVD±R and boot it with the Swap Magic DVD.

hmm that's really weird, i used to load all my ps2CD backups that way...but i used the oldest version of DVDLoader..the one in spanish...maybe this is a reason.?

yea, i think its a toc issue with dvdloader, bc i got it to work using ncaa 2002 with a toc of 586 mb, but ar evo has a toc of 680. So what happened was, i got it to load but the screens in black and white when its at the main datel screen, and then i cant use my controller to pick anything. But im trying to burn it onto a dvd now. I tried doing that before, but nero will only allow me to burn the image onto a cd, so i gotta figure a way around this. Maybe by just extracting all the contents of the iso and making a dvd iso.
