FIFA Street

i have found that the PAL patch for the above game doesn't work on my Ver.7 PS2 with Swap Magic 3.3 DVD Disc, or any other method for that matter, nothing works... and yes my back-up is the PAL Version.

PS...i am using top Quality Media Disc's "Verbatim 4x Speed DVD-R's" & are Burning this game at 1x Speed using Alcohol 120%,


Any Idea's?

I think that the patch you're using was only designed for Swap Magic 2.0. You probably simply need to rebuild the game yourself, removing the dummy file(s).

i rebuild the game fifa street als an iso of 1,6 gb with isobuster and i am using swap magic 3.6 but still it isn't working. i burned the game with dvd decrypter
how can i make fifa street working.

Yeah, upon further recollection, I believe jamesjfm is right about the LBA checks. Seems like the only option if you cannot get the patch to work is to do a TOC refresh with a large-TOC disc. Can't guarantee that'll work either, though.

hi,
i.... aquired a fifa street (pal) ISO and i have got swap magic 3 with slide tool, burned the iso to dvd using dvd decrypter and put it in ps2 as per instructions for swap magic and slide tool but its just blank, i mean after i put the swap magic cd in, let it load, use slide tool, put my copy of fifa street in then close cd tray and lock it, it just stays blank, can hear cd been read etc but just stays like that
help?

I made an ISO with k3b ( it is large 4.698.734.592 ) bytes and then I patch it with " FifaStreet-pal_ntsc-iso-patcher.exe " using wine under linux ( I hav'nt a windows machine ).
I have no trouble in patching the ISO and after done the work I compare the files and they are different. It is ok.
I use swap magic 3.3 and i have not found any reference to 2.0 in the readme of the patch. But the game do not start and therefore you probably are right :-).
Can you tell me more on " You probably simply need to rebuild the game yourself, removing the dummy file(s). " ? and can you confirm me the size of the ISO file ?

i got the ntsc version to work on my pal v9 using dvd loader and devil may cry as a toc refresh

The Swap Magic compatibility I was referring to is from DVDRick's FIFA Street PAL (Chronic) SMFIX. Here's the part of the .nfo file from that patch which shows a "?" for Swap Magic 3:

Actually, after jamesjfm's reminder, I believe I was incorrect in that suggestion. NBA Street V3 and NFL Street 2 can be rebuilt, but FIFA Street cannot. The simplest option stands (exempt from patching) to perform a TOC refresh with a large-TOC disc.

I don't know what is a TOC refresh but I learn quickly ( if you spent some words to explain me ( or give a link ) much and much more quickly ).
I have downloaded the patch we are talking about ( i have not used that ) and could you tell me what is the use of this file ?

I did guess its use was to replace a file in the ISO but I haven't found it in the ISO itself therefore think it must be processed with some program.
Am I wrong ? If yes i hope you get me right, else, where can i find the program ?
