What exact kind of fixative spray do you use? I have an Epson R800 printer, and also print directly onto discs, and can definately agree with you on the quality of the results. I have tried the Krylon clear coat, some other brand of clear coat, and Krylon Triple-Thick, all of which give me a not-so-wonderful "orange-peel" looking finish. Fortunately, the R800 uses the "dura-bright" ink which doesn't smear easily even when wet.
