Here is a pic that shows this romeo mod which is pin #17 desoldered on the LA chip,it explains this more in the pic,this is for the v9 ps2.There is also a pic of a v5 ps2 laser pots and how to adjust them,usually a ohm meter is used but can be done if adjusting them very little at one time.These pot adjustments are on the underside of your laser.
