No prob! I'm still on my first PS3 here (60GB HDD, launch system). Currently I use it to watch TV show rips on via USB, and since it's still on Firmware 1.10 that is about all I can do with it.
I know the feeling though, a friend of mine didn't want to sell his PS3 (launch unit also) but he had to recently due to financial issues too. I had to help find a home for his 170lb dog (a mastiff), who he also had to get rid of as he's moving to a cheaper place to live... wasn't easy!
