SVCD will not work on a PS2 regardless of whether it is modded or not. It *might* work with PS2reality media player (haven't tried). Since all SVCD is MPEG2, it would be very easy to convert to DVD. I suggest finding a FAQ off http://www.videohelp.com if you're curious.
