Hey Dre....If you live in the US then you need to get Office Depot Mini dvd-r discs. They use GO4 dye and work great! They cost $20 for 10 of them. If you burn at X1 or X2 speed at the most with these discs and you still get disc read errors / disc could not be read message then you most likely need to do a laser pot tweak. There are tutorials around and it really does help. Most lasers will need to be adjusted at some point in their life so that backups can be read. Good luck!;-)

Once you get that worked out you should consider a full size dvd case mod so you can play dvd 5 discs. Then your costs go way down.
