Go Video is reccomended by a lot of professionals. Plus, JVC is the forefather of VHS technology. Either of those should yeild the best quality. It will definately be cheaper to buy a DVD player and VHS deck seperately though...

Another thing to think about is that you won't be able to watch VHS if you hook your player up via component (some won't even allow S-Video).
