I can't guarentee that the new one supports UDF2.5 but 2.6.16 is also optimized, but 2.6.19 probably has some bug patches for the SPE/SPU. There is almost no reason to change the kernel after UDF2.5 and NTFS was enabled; not unless they release the graphic drivers for the video card. (In my opinion)
