3.03_OE_UMD_Image_USB_Mount_v1.03_Plug-In is the one that works on all FWs from 3.03 to 3.10 OE-A2. (I used it on the 2 FWs) and you do not need to flash this mod to your PSP.

I have a PSP with original firmware 1.5. I followed swampy's 3.03 OE-C install guide but I'm having trouble generating a DXAR file. Ran the Updater and it reboots the device but then it says can't run application or something like that. Anybody seen this before?

This *might* be down to not enough memory stick space. If you're using a 32mb stick you may have problems.

Make sure you (backup first) format the stick and do the oeupdmaker bit first, then copy the Data.DXAR file, remove the oeupdmaker folders and try the 303oeflasher bit.

Yes, all the ones related to the custom firmware.

since u just installed custom firmware i would recommend backing up the memory stick then doing a format, u will have many folders that may be needed...:grin:

it should be in the ISO folder.

if you dont have the folder, create one in X:/ISO

where X is your PSP drive letter

hocko18 or you can format your MS so you get all the folders you need. (backup the files you want before you format)

I hate asking a newb question but this is way confusing...

If I go out buy a PSP and try this with whatever default firmware version will it be ok? Or should I flash with the 1.5 firmware and start from there? Does that mean any PSP you buy can be downgraded to 1.5?

Also is there a guide to what you need to just play some ISOS and necessary plugins only?
