Video: Hideo Kojima Talks Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton posted up a video today featuring Hideo Kojima talking Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes with details below.

To quote: It's been nearly six years since Hideo Kojima and his team at Konami delivered the PS3 epic Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Finally, its sequel is nearly upon us.

The first part of [Register or Login to view links]' ambitious Metal Gear Solid 5 project arrives next week on PS3 and PS4. Titled Ground Zeroes, it serves as a prologue for the main event - the still-in-development The Phantom Pain.

Last month, our colleagues at SCE Japan sat down with the legendary creator to learn more about the game, and how he and his team are leveraging the power of PlayStation 4.

Check out the full video above to see what he had to say.

I'm not going to watch it, he's going to try and tell you to pay full price for a demo. Thats what it is, its a 1 hour 1 mission demo of a game that they want you to pay full price for.

Just buy ANY other game and wait for the full MGS5 to come out. Nobody wants to waste their hard earned money on paying for a demo of a game.

By far MGS: Ground Zeroes will sell for $29.99 Retail and I've already seen where you can pre-order the digital copy from the PSN Store for $19.99. I've already pre-ordered the retail PS4 version at Gamestop and looking for to its release.

Honestly I love my PS3, but its cool to more PS4 games of my interest showing up more often. Also with my pre-order of the retail copy of Final Fantasy XIV: A Real Reborn Collector's Edition releasing next month, this spring is going to be nice for me.

In the end its still only a 1 level demo that they want you to pay for which is wrong.

Yea, there are I think 3 side missions. They should've been attached to the main mission making it feel like a 4 level demo but the way it is, 1 level and its finished is just wrong to force people to pay for it.

THATS why we have CFW so we can play the demo without being forced to pay for it.

WHY are these big companies trying to force us to pay for things that used to be free? We used to get demos for free, DLC was free, I'm surprised updates are still free or are they looking into a way to force us to pay for them too soon?

The whole games system sucks now. We buy beta versions of games and they get free beta testing, we pay for a disc then have to pay again for DLC thats already on the disc, they keep patching for months proving my point that we buy a beta version. They raise the prices but we things its lower.

If it was lower then we would pay $60 for the full game and there would be no "premuim" or "season pass" as that would already be part of the game. So in reality the full price is closer to $100 as you have to buy the extras which most likely are already on the disc or made alongside the game and to understand the full story you have to buy that extra stuff.

Again why CFW is so needed. If I buy a game I want the full game not pay multiple times for it. As its just a money grab these days they dont deserve my money.
