As always, we will update this article with the PS4 System Software Update 1.71 download links once they become available when PS4 Firmware Update 1.71 officially goes live!
PS4 Firmware Update v1.71 Changelog:
System software stability during use of some features has been improved.
Also, according to [Register or Login to view links] the System Software update also lets users invite 16 players to a Party Chat and resolves some bug fixes (via [Register or Login to view links]) as follows, to quote:
"Looks like the PS4 firmware update 1.71 just released by Sony Computer Entertainment included an undocumented feature.
The limit for invites to the Party Chat feature has been upped from 8 to 16 players, as you can see from the screenshot below, even if the limit for the chat itself still seems to be locked at 8. This is probably to let players invite more friends, considering that not all of them might join.
It could indicate a future increase of the limit in the actual chat, but for now there’s no way to know when and if that’ll happen.
Update: Looks like you can invite 16 players, but the actual party chat is still limited to 8. The article below has been amended to reflect this."
On the bug fixes: "The issue that deactivated the DualShock 4′s vibration every time the console was turned off (or put in stand-by mode) has now been solved, and the controller will vibrate with no issue from the get go if you have the feature activated in the settings.
In addition to that, the problem with uploading save games to the cloud for PlayStation Plus users which brought up the message “Saved data with the same name was uploaded from another PS4″ has been worked out as well. Now the PS4 will manage to upload save games to the cloud without requiring the user to manually overwrite previous saves."
I have now added the PS4 v1.71 download links to the main article above
