Video: Medal of Honor Multiplayer Live on PS3, Win a Beta Code!

Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has revealed how fans can win a Beta Code for Medal of Honor Multiplayer, which recently went live on the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: Beta access is reserved for those who pre-order the full version of http://www.medalofhonor.com/beta, EA and DICE's modern-day war shooter that hits the PS3 this October.

Luckily, we've got 18 beta code vouchers to hand out - keep an eye on the official http://twitter.com/playstation to find out how to win later today.

Note: If you do win a beta voucher, you must redeem it on the http://www.medalofhonor.com/beta and specify PS3 to get a code you can redeem on the PSN Store.

At the http://www.e3expo.com/ last week, Medal of Honor executive producer Greg Goodrich and creative director Richard Farrelly gave us a primer on what's new (modern-day Afghanistan with modern-day weapons), what's unlockable (Tier 1 Operator status and...beards?!), and what's planned for the final release of Medal of Honor this fall.

Our E3 multiplayer session highlighted Medal of Honor's extensive class customization. You can choose between the long-range Rifleman class, which excels at distance-based fighting; the Sniper class, which focuses on long-range marksmanship; and the Special Ops class, which packs grenades and faster-firing weapons for close-range domination.

The weapon modification system also stands out for its modular, ultra-customizable nature. For instance, the Rail slot can be equipped with a red dot sight, iron sights, or a combat scope; the Barrel slot can take a suppressor or muzzle brake.

Each mod offers its own advantages and disadvantages, and when you factor in Medal of Honor's variable ammunition types (hollowpoint rounds, shotgun slugs, extra mags), you're looking at a highly personalized multiplayer shooter.

this beta sucks, really laggy, on the afghan side when you kill 4 in a row it freezes, the shit detection sucks. ill play it when all these bugs are fixed. yeah yeah i know its a beta, but damn its been out for over a week and still has no fixes. EA get on top of it. this is supposed to be the COD killer.

I find this funny. All of SCEA has to give out is 18 codes, yet I possess 9 myself. lol. (DON'T ASK FOR THEM, I KNOW WHO I'M GIVING THEM TO, BUT THEY HAVE XBOX SO THEY HAVE TO WAIT lol).

It's buggy and freezes on me everytime, i reach a 40 point scorechain as the Taliban team.

i played it yesterday and there was a 298 MB update that smoothed the game out a bunch IMHO. the game does seem to be missing something though.
