Video: Gran Turismo 6 to be Released Faster and Better Planned

It is way too early for most people to even hear the words Gran Turismo 6, but not for Kazunori Yamauchi who openly talked about it.

To quote from an interview with JoyStiq, available in video format below:

"How interested are you in the PlayStation Motion Controller?

Motion controller has infinite possibilities and the level of completion of the actual device is going to be very high just from the start.

I think it's going to be very important, but as for its importance in GT, I don't think it's going to have that much of a role in the series. As for the PlayStation Eye, we're probably going to try and use it in Gran Turismo, but we can't go into details of that yet.

What are your plans for Gran Turismo 5?

GT5 is a title that was pretty much remade from scratch, but because we did that, the next version is actually going to be faster - the time period it's going to be released.

But I think when GT5 comes out, we're still going to have things that are left undone, and whether we complete that in GT6, or the next version for PSP, I'm not sure yet. I've been working very hard for the last 15 years, and I think that hard work is just going to continue."

Come on... get GT5 ready before you even start talking about GT6!

Who is believing in an earlier release of any GT anyway? The last versions have shown that they are always late and stretch out release dates.

I love the franchise but hate to wait. Hopefully it will be a worldwide release in March 2010 and not just Japan

I don't remember now, but I've read somewhere that the PS Eye Cam is going to be used as a head tracking device for GT5, and anyone that has used the TrackIr device knows how cool is this thing!

i'm a bit late but recently started playing GT prologue... and if you're not a big fan of realistic racing games its not for you but i'm kind of diggin it. if GT 5 is gonna be a bit incomplete why not release 6 before 5... it's not gonna hurt nobody

I have gt prologue now almost for a year, and I'm still playing it almost every day.. very good game!

I really hope that with this GT they decide to put some of the older features back into its options. Like being able to change gear ratios n upgrade the car.
