Video: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow PS3 Gameplay Trailer
Today G4TV (linked above) has made available a new 11-minute Castlevania: Lords of Shadow PS3 gameplay trailer just released by Konami and narrated by Jason Isaacs.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a third person action adventure title featuring 50 levels with combat, platforming and puzzle elements.
The combat will utilize a retractable pyrokinetic chain whip called "The Combat Cross".
The commands consist of direct attacks for dealing direct damage to enemies and area attacks for when surrounded and interactions with other items in the player's inventory such as knives, holy water and other potential environmental weapons.
The whip is upgradeable and is not only used for combat, but also for exploration purposes like scaling walls, rappelling and swinging across gaps. The player will also be able to find items that can increase health or boost abilities.
The video's caption reads as follows, to quote: "See for yourself the gameplay for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow as Jason Isaacs guides you through the weapons and abilities that Gabriel Belmont can wield against the monsters of the night."
Finally, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on PS3 is currently slated for release on October 5 in North America, October 7 in Europe and December 16, 2010 in Japan.
I´am a huge Fan of Castlevania, this was my first game 1987 on Nes. On my pic can you see Alucard, please guys buy this game. it has 20 hours gameplay, and the end sequenz has 20 minutes. This game deserve a good selling, because you get not a 0815 junk. If the game sells good, comes a another game from mercurysteam. The game has not a cliffhanger, belive me that game is great and goty.
it's like god of war + prince of persia and devil may cry all bundled in one game. and with a collaboration with the on and only Hideo Kojima.
i don't agree at one point, clos isnt gow.Castlevania was 1st of before Gow Hackn slay. Look at Lament of Innocence or the old N64 Castlevania, the game mecanics has Castlevania before Gow. Without Castlevania, we can not play gow today.
and devil may cry was a early resident evil, a action shooter with hackn slay elements
