UDF Hard Drive in XMB

I have succesfully burnt a DVD with an MP4 larger than 2GB using the UDF file format, has anyone tried a USB Hard Drive or USB Memory Stick with UDF format?

Does anyone know of a free driver for formating USB HD's as UDF on Windows XP?

Could a UDF format storage device be used to hold the iso's for mounting in Linux?

Has anyone used WriteUDF before?

PS3 can only read FAT32 external drives.
