November 15, 2006 - North America isn't the only place celebrating the launch of the PS3 on November 17. Hong Kong and Taiwan are also enjoying the launch on the same day. According to a report on http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=11714, only 500 Taiwanese will go home happy.

At a launch party in Taiwan, Sony is expected to make 150 PS3 available. A mere 350 additional units will be available through select retailers.

While PS3 North American and Japanese launch numbers may be low, be thankful they are not as low as those in Taiwan.
