Sony Reveals Two Exclusive Demos for PlayStation Plus Members
Sony PlayStation Network Product Manager James Thorpe has revealed two exclusive PSN demos today for PlayStation Plus members, as follows:
Firstly we have managed to secure an exclusive early demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.
You and a friend can jump into a match as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chivas Guadalajara or Internacional and see how the team has improved the controls and visuals for yet another realistic football experience that is easy to jump in and play, and difficult and rewarding to master.
Secondly, you may have seen Richard Yap's post last Friday about the exclusive God of War: Ghost of Sparta PSP demo for a few lucky PSN users. There were quite a few comments from Plus members asking for this demo and I don't like to disappoint...
...so as of today the God of War: Ghost of Sparta demo is available to all Plus members on the Plus section of the PS3 store. This demo is exclusive to you guys three weeks before it goes live on the PSP Store for everyone.
The guys at http://www.readyatdawn.com/ worked really hard on getting this demo out early but its worth noting that the in game text is only in English. This definitely won't stop everyone enjoying the great game play in this demo though.
*This demo is available to all PSP and PSPgo owners. PSPgo owners will need to first save the demo to a memory card and then save the demo to your PSPgo from the memory card. However, we are working on this process so that you will soon be able to download the demo direct to your PSPgo.
So now you need a subscription to get access to what we use to get for free?
Sony is cleverly and slowly changing their online model to a subscription based system. Next thing you know, paid games will be given priority access to PLUS members... The game is out now for plus members, go buy your copy. Free members wait 3 weeks to buy your copy!
I mean seriously, your going to hold new demo content for 3 WEEKS before allowing others to try it out? I'm glad the PS3 has become more open now. I'm getting really tired of getting shafted by Sony this past year or so... You're slowing running your customers away.
