August 7, 2007 - Having already removed the PSone version of MediEvil from the PlayStation Network, Sony has now confirmed it's withdrawn both Spyro the Dragon 2 and Crash Bandicoot 2 due to technical problems - including unplayable levels and consistent crashing.
Over the next ten days, Sony will inform those who downloaded the titles originally of when the issues are expected to be sorted. An official statement on the PlayStation forums reads: "We are currently investigating the reports of issues associated with MediEvil and Spyro 2. This investigation is highly technical and requires some time to work through. For Crash Bandicoot 2 the situation is more clear as its removal was purely precautionary. We are optimistic that the title will be back in the store shortly."
We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear when these affected games are likely to return to the PlayStation store.
