Maybe they realized they're suing the wrong guy and need to hire some competent staff.
Seriously though, Sony has a right and obligation to protect their IP. They can't sit back and let piracy have free reign without publishers barking up their rear. If they go after homebrew then I'll agree with the earlier comments, but if they go after strictly pirates, then that's reasonable IMO.
Do I want to see another RIAA/MPAA? No. But I think it's fair for them to target some of the big offenders making a buck off the situation.
That's all that is required. Not going to waste any more time on giving you a succint explanation as to why you don't get it, since that's time that could be better spent elsewhere.
What we need is one of the current PS3 hackers to take the job and undermine Sony's efforts from within, lol. IE a Trojan horse. Boy that would be funny.
Word of advice to $ony... get over it... your system has been HACKED! Stop WASTING your money on this BS! Your'e NOT going to defeat hackers... EVER! THE END! Now stop this crap before you end up putting yourself out of the gaming business over law suit fees and/or high price of the PS4 due to court costs of these PS3 suits... man up, accept that you have been hacked like EVERY other system out there has been hacked.
I think it will be used on the PS4 instead of PS3, if they are smart that is , maybe they are gonna use a new random key which isn't random at all!! Nice! Maybe they already used some same security architectures as the PS3 within the PS4. So finnally they get smarter.. But there will always be a door!
