November 17, 2006 - The next-generation console wars are on and market research group eMarketer has some insight into how things might shake out. A brand loyalty poll among current-gen console owners showed that 60 percent of PlayStation 2 owners plan to buy a PlayStation 3, while only 46 and 45 percent of Xbox and GameCube owners, respectively, plan on buying the updates to their current systems.
