wow yea, thats dumb, if they do that it will also help degrade sales of ps3....look i bet they sold hella psp's because it could be modded. and you know they love telling ppl how many "consoles" they sell, so game rentals are awesome too because you can test before you buy or to play crap games cheap.
Well, fans of the PS2 and probably of the future PS3 as well, you can relax now (that is, if you had gotten nervous in the first place). Last week, there were many rumors floating around the Internet regarding a certain patent belonging to Sony, which, if adopted, would have linked the individual copies of software with the hardware.
Sony has kept it's mouth shut on whether this patent would be used to copy protect PS3 games (although, as I've said in a previous article, to do something like that would have been plain stupid).
However, in order to give an official answer to an already increasing wave of unrest among the gamers, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has stated, through one of its' spokespersons, that "this is false speculation and that PlayStation 3 software will not be copy protected to a single machine but will be playable on any PlayStation 3 console".
There you have it. Now all they have to do is release the damn thing, cause we're all expecting it.
