[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3238228[/IMGW]Tomonobu Itagaki's teased about an in-development Nintendo DS videogame several times -- but most people probably didn't anticipate it would be Ninja Gaiden-related. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=148332&page=4's obtained the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly, where Tecmo and Itagaki jointly unveiled Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.
There are precious few details on the touch screen-centric take on the traditionally skill-based series, but the first screen shots show promise, as Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is not a side-scroller, but a 3D, overheard action game that will reportedly be mostly controlled through the stylus. We'll have to wait for more specifics.
Additionally, http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=148379 also reports more ninja goodness in only a few weeks, with a http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3153721 demo appearing on the PlayStation Network on April 27th -- in Japan. Chances are an American demo is in the works, as well, but we don't have a specific date yet. The demo will contain content different from the final game, and will even feature online leaderboards for players to compete online with.
