Various Artists - We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash
This past April, a veritable galaxy of stars gathered in Austin, Texas for We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash, a fundraiser to fight muscular dystrophy and a chance to perform songs by the influential "man in black."
"We Walk the Line... "features live recordings of 20 of these performances, including Amy Lee (of Evanescence), Shooter Jennings, Iron & Wine, Willie Nelson and Rhett Miller playing the song that became his band Old 97's namesake, "Wreck of the Old 97." At the show, Miller was quoted saying, "He's a country legend, but to me Johnny Cash was and will always be the ultimate punk rocker."
