Namco Confirms Tekken 5 Online for US

It seemed inevitable Namco Bandai would confirm the previously announced http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3160265 component for http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3156139 hitting PlayStation Network in Japan -- today it's official. Coming later this year, the online update for HD fighter will cost $9.99 for gamers who already purchased the offline edition, with the complete package priced at $19.99.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online will feature Opti Match, Quick Match, Custom Match and Friend Match, in addition to a viewing mode for matches already in progress. And though this "patch" focuses on new online elements, Namco Bandai is also incorporating a Practice and Survival mode for single-player gamers to practice their skills without a Wi-Fi connection.
