November 28, 2006 - PS3 owners over in Japan are going to have to live with mahjong for an extra week. Sony Comptuer Entertainment announced today that one of the system's biggest December games is going to arrive a bit later than expected. Originally set for 12/7 release, http://ps3.ign.com/objects/748/748488.html will now hit one week later, on 12/14.

So what exactly causes a one week delay? Sony's official comment was pretty vague on the matter, citing only production-related concerns. This delay puts the game opposite Armored Core 4, so maybe Sony wanted a big day for PS3 releases.

If you're eagerly anticipating MotorStorm's North American release next year, you might be wondering why the game is hitting Japan first. Don't be too jealous; they get it early, but minus online play.
