I'm a call of duty fan, I used to purchase the map packs, platinumed mw2 and got my prestige for cod4, 5, and 6 but this time around I havent bought either map pack for mw2. Three new maps and two old maps for $15 plus tax is just wrong. The game new is $60 and you can play 100+ Hours with it and paying $30 half of the original for 6 new maps is absurd.

When I don't agree with a developer the way I show my discontent is not buying their stuff and activision has been really greedy since mw2 launched and charged an extra $10 for the pc version. Please don't support this kind of DLC, three new maps guys is lame and they can keep doing this all year long if we the fans buy them. Don't buy this DLC please.

Map packs used to be $10 US dlls with 5 new maps and sometimes a bonus here and there. Charging 50% more and delivering 40% less is a ripoff and practically saying that we will buy anything they put a price tag on. Im staying away from DLC until they start charging $10 and delivering what we used to get.

too true sir... i mean i wouldn't mind them charging the $15 for the maps, if (and only if) the maps were unlockable by gameplay and someone didnt want to take the time and put in the effort into playing the game. but they aren't

i actually ended up paying about $75 for the game (after taxes) and another $15 for the stimulus, so that's $90 right there. add in this new map pack, and what originally started out as a $75 game, has now turned into a $105 (if you want to truly appreciate all the map packs and playing against everyone)

which is why (though i struggle with it daily) i didn't buy the stimulus package. played it at a friends on 360. that is way too much to charge for three new maps. I spammed the hell out the cod4 maps. no thanks.

I figured they would just eventually drop the price, but with this new DLC with basically the same concept as the last at the same price. puts doubt that there will be a price drop or a package deal any time soon

I refuse to pay half the price of a full priced game for less then half of what i can get from the original.

I just get my map packs for free from gamesharing. After playing them, they are NOT worth $15 at all. So I say the only way to get them (for now unless there's a price adjustment) is for free.

Totally true.. I didnt get the first map pack, and im not going to get this map pack. Said the same on the PS forums and i got all the lil kids flaming me..

At first i thought of getting the map pack when the price reduced, after the 2nd map pack came out and i saw the price tag is the same.. as a principle even if they lower their prices to 5$ each map pack, i won't get them.

Funny thing is, my friend got a EU copy of the game and bought the maps off the US store, so he is kind of screwed, he cant use them.

What was sony's answer? "Youre not even suppose to buy off the US store".. Pfft, bunch of lamers.. the only thing that gets me holding on to a console these days is party play/split screen.. everything else i could do on a PC.. (EDIT: and better fps, with no jaggies!!)

What i'm sure of, is that i wont get the new PS.. Sony has completed let me down in anything concerning this console..

I'm a huge MW2 fan. About three months ago, I bought both MAG and MW2. I played MAG for about an hour, I play MW2 non stop. I was highly anticipating the stimulus package before it came out. Once it arrived I was slightly disappointed in the maps. I liked the maps, but I felt they wasn't worth my $15.

Because of my disappointment in the stimulus maps I was a little hesitant on buying the resurgence maps, but I really wanted to play the Carnival map. Also it's only $15. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a lot of money to be spending $60 on a brand new game ( Though I really want Bad Company 2, or Killzone 3), but a $15 investment on the improvement on my favorite game is not that much money.

I purchased the resurgence maps, and I have to say I love them! To me Carnival, Fuel, and Trailer Park are well worth the $5 apiece. And since I never played any of the old maps, they feel like a bonus to me.

That's how I see it anyways. $5 a map, with the old maps as a bonus.
