November 6, 2006 - In its quarterly financial statement, Marvel Enterprises revealed its full 2007 videogame release schedule. While Ghost Rider, Marvel Universe Card Game and Spider-Man 3 were already known, the remaining three games came as somewhat of a surprise.
Activision has not only lost the Iron Man license to Sega, but has now lost the rights to the Fantastic Four. Take-Two is publishing Fantastic Four II, based on the upcoming feature film sequel, in spring 2007. Despite generally negative reviews, EA is giving a second go to Marvel Nemesis. The sequel is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of next year. Lastly, Activision is publishing Spider-Man Trilogy at the end of 2007. It's unknown if this is a completely new game or a repackaging of Activision's three movie-based titles.
No details were offered in the financial statement other than a note about the publishers of each title and expected release dates. Interestingly, the next Hulk game was not listed among the games coming in 2007.
