KMart Now Lists PS3 Slim for $299 with August 24 Launch!

Sony's worst-kept secret this year appears to be the PS3 Slim, as retailer KMart is now http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&partNumber=018W014436760001P&adCell=W2&catalogId=10104 the PlayStation 3 Slim for $299 with a launch date of August 24, 2009.

It's also currently displayed on KMart's main page http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10104 with the slogan "The rumors are reality." and includes a 120GB HDD, with the description as follows:

"PS3, SLIM High-Definition Blu-ray player for the best movie experience. Free PLAYSTATION Network membership. 120GB HDD for downloading games, music, videos, and photos. Includes DUAL SHOCK 3 controller. HDMI output for 1080p resolution."

The Sony GamesCom press conference is expected to confirm details of the new SKU later today, at approximately 12:30 EST.
