How to copy files on to vista laptop from 60gb Hdd and then copy to new HDD

I have gone around this website for hours now and can't seem to find anywhere that tells/shows you how to copy files off the HDD. I am trying to copy two game data files and over 20 game saves from and 60gb ps3 HDD (Seagate Momentus) to my vista laptop. After this I then wish to copy the files to a new formatted 500gb Western Digital Scoripo HDD and run this in the PS3.

Can anyone please give me basic instructions on how to copy the files or is this at the moment just not possible.
