    Help with YDL 5 PUP connection

    Sponsored Links
    I am having trouble getting PUP to connect to do updates on my YDL 5. It connects like it's going to update, then gives me a message saying there was a network error. I do have a connection to the internet. :??

    I think yum is the preferred package manager. You have to edit /etc/yum.conf file and un-comment the repositories.

    Thumbs Up YDL 5 PUP connection

    Thanks for the response. Looks like when you edit the /etc/yum.conf file and uncomment the repositories it also fixes the PUP connection issue.

    I am having the same issue and I am not clear on what exactly I need to edit. Here is my conf:

    [main]
    cachedir=/var/cache/yum
    keepcache=0
    debuglevel=2
    logfile=/var/log/yum.log
    pkgpolicy=newest
    distroverpkg=yellowdog-release
    tolerant=1
    exactarch=1
    obsoletes=1
    gpgcheck=0
    plugins=1
    metadata_expire=1800
    repos=/etc/yum.repos.d

    # PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
    # in /etc/yum.repos.d
