[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3167636[/IMGW]Last week, 1UP speculated the reason the forthcoming bundled release of http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=2006921, its two episodic expansions, http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=2014284 and http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3152171 were being rebranded as Half-Life 2: Orange on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was to reduce confusion for gamers who hadn't been followed the series on PC. http://pc.ign.com/articles/755/755915p1.html, however, has more details on the change, and outlines the alternative, entitled Black Box.
Black Box will retail for $39.99 on PC only and feature http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3152170, Team Fortress 2 and Portal -- pricing it quite a bit higher than Episode 1's $14.99, but you're getting far more bang for your buck here, too. Orange Box, however, is coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and contains the original Half-Life 2, Episode 1 and everything else described for $59.99 -- an incredible deal, if you think about it.
Steam users, of course, should be able to pick and choose what they want at individual prices, though Valve hasn't divulged what exactly those will be just yet.
